Home is Where the Health Is

I am a Brit living in Luxembourg for the last 22 years. And yet I have travelled to Norwich for major reconstructive surgery following Breast Cancer three years ago.

Why? you may wonder, when the papers report a mass exodus from Britain due to lack of beds, the prospect of better care abroad and the fear of MRSA. It is because of the reputation of my brilliant surgeon, Elaine Sassoon reached me there.

Of course Luxembourg has many excellent doctors and state of the art equipment. However the procedure offered by Miss Sassoon was ground- breaking and not widely available within Europe (I was told in Brussels that this particular operation was not feasible for me)

Naturally coming from abroad I had to pay for my treatment.

The nursing staff..... were fabulous.

Sept 2004 - New website launched - Following the initial 'holding page' the www.elainesassoon.com website has been launched, however a small number of pages are still under construction. If you find any areas that interest you that are still under construction and you require information please contact us directly.

Sept 2005 - Website shows amazing growth, figures for page 'hits' and information sheet downloads show that this website is growing at an amazing pace. Year on year increased traffic on unique page views are over 500%

 December 2005 - Updates to many areas - New download sheets fro Breast Augmentation, Breast Reduction, and Abdominoplasty (tummy Tucks)

December 2005 - New exercise sheets available as downloads for Breast Reconstruction patients (IGAP and DIEP perforator flaps)
